What the engagement covers
Interviews & price checks
Trader and customer interviews plus shelf-price surveys in Dar es Salaam and up-country markets.
Demand sizing
How many buyers, at what price, how often — sized conservatively enough to plan against.
Lender-citable report
Findings written so a bank proposal (SL3) can reference them as independent evidence.
How the engagement runs
Scoped to the decision — one question, answered properly, not a survey for its own sake.
- Question first. We agree the decision the research must support: price, place, product or loan.
- Fieldwork. Interviews and price checks executed to a plan you approve in advance.
- Write-up. Findings, limits and the recommendation — short enough to act on, sourced enough to cite.
Figures above are the approved bands (Task 1.3, 2026-09-29) — the only prices we quote. Every engagement is quoted in writing before we start, fixed-fee with 50/50 payment terms.
Questions owners ask
How long does fieldwork take?
A focused Dar es Salaam study runs in weeks, not months. Up-country coverage adds calendar time — scoped before we quote.
Can the report support a loan application?
That is a design goal: the write-up doubles as the market-evidence annex of a bank proposal.
Do you do customer surveys?
Yes — short, in-person instruments with response checks. Long online forms with low response rates are not a product we sell.
Who owns the data?
You do — raw notes, tallies and the report are handed over in full at close-out.
