Twelve verticals, one entry each

A market trader and a private school both need clean books — but their compliance pains, lender stories and starting points differ. Find your trade below: the pain we solve, the loan narrative it unlocks, and the engagement to start with.

Where our clients trade: Kariakoo to Kinondoni, formalising one ledger at a time.

Deep-dives — where bankability is highest

Four verticals get full treatment because loan density and compliance complexity concentrate there. The other eight stay one line each in the catalog — full breadth for coverage, depth where it converts.

Contractors and tender-chasers

Tender eligibility lives or dies on paperwork: CRB registration, a valid Tax Clearance Certificate from TRA’s IDRAS (valid TIN, all required returns filed, payment proof or an approved plan), and bid files assembled to spec. Our product runs TCC-readiness check → cleanup → tender documents (SL10) → contract-finance proposal (SL3). Start before the tender calendar starts — TCC surprises on deadline day are the most expensive kind.

Private schools

Payroll-heavy by nature: NSSF registration from your first employee, each staff member registered within 30 days, 10% employer plus 10% employee on gross salary, and WCF obligations once you pass five employees. Full Financial Management at TZS 400,000 a month — payroll included — pitches cleanly as a per-pupil compliance cost, and fee-income stability is exactly the asset-finance story lenders want to hear.

  • Tier B retainer: books, TRA, NSSF, payroll
  • Staff registration and schedules
  • Fee-income asset-finance file

Clinics and pharmacies

Same employer duties as schools — NSSF from employee one, 30-day registrations, the 20% joint contribution — plus sector licences that must stay current alongside the books. We run the Tier B stack (TZS 400,000 a month, payroll included) with a licence calendar, so an inspection and a loan application both find you ready.

Guesthouses and lodging

18% VAT on accommodation and food and beverage, the hotel levy framework, plus tourism accommodation licensing and classification — and beneath it all, occupancy records that must support the numbers. Our product: licence-calendar setup, then Basic Compliance at TZS 250,000 a month, then an occupancy-backed expansion proposal when you are ready to grow.

Market traders and dukas

EFD receipts, the online-trader requirements where they apply, and the licence plus clean filings that unlock MSE facilities. Enforcement-heavy messaging backfires with traders — we lead with fairness and the facility it unlocks. Entry is the formalisation on-ramp (service from TZS 250,000 plus official fees), converting to a Tier A retainer at handover.

How the engagement ladder works

Every vertical climbs the same four rungs. The first step is always free; each next step is quoted in writing before it starts.

  1. Free 30-minute triage. We review your TRA, NSSF and books and name what to fix first.
  2. Paid deep-dive, credited. A fixed-fee diagnostic, credited against your first retainer month.
  3. Cleanup project, 50/50. Half to start, half on delivery — books, arrears or documents fixed properly.
  4. Retainer. Basic Compliance at TZS 250,000 a month or Full Financial Management at TZS 400,000, with annual prepay earning one month free.

Questions owners ask

We are informal. Can you still help?

Yes — that is the on-ramp’s whole job. Service from TZS 250,000 plus official government fees covers the BRELA, TIN and NSSF setup; at handover we propose the Tier A retainer so you stay compliant from day one. Confirm current official fees at ors.brela.go.tz before we quote.

We were declined a loan. What now?

Bring the decline letter to the free health check. In most cases the business is sound and the paperwork is not — clean statements plus projections (SL3, from TZS 500,000) answer the exact objections the officer raised.

Do you work outside Dar es Salaam?

Yes — the retainer, the ladder and the vertical catalog run anywhere in Tanzania. See national coverage and Dar es Salaam.

Which vertical are we?

If you sell goods for cash, start at V1/V2/V10. If you employ five or more people, start at V4/V5. If you chase tenders, start at V6. Unsure? The health check places you in one visit.
