Home / Industries / Repair workshops
Job cards today, MSE loan tomorrow
Informal cash income becomes MSE-loan eligibility the moment job cards, spares and filings are documented. The workshop does not change — the paper does.

The compliance pains
Job documentation
Job cards with parts and labour separated — revenue a lender can verify.
Spares control
Parts purchases against jobs completed, so margins are measured per repair.
Formalisation
Licence, TIN and filed returns via the on-ramp — the MSE file, assembled.
How the engagement works
Entry is the formalisation on-ramp (SL1/SL2).
- On-ramp pack. Registration and filing setup — service from TZS 250,000 plus official fees.
- Monthly routine. Job cards, spares and takings captured; returns filed on the TRA calendar.
- Tier A retainer. Basic Compliance at TZS 250,000 a month or Full Financial Management at TZS 400,000 a month, payroll included in Tier B.
Figures above are the approved bands (Task 1.3, 2026-09-29) — the only prices we quote. Every engagement is quoted in writing before we start.
Questions owners ask
Most income is cash with no records. Where do we start?
Job cards from today forward plus a sensible opening position — the health check draws the line.
Do we need EFD machines?
Where applicable, yes — configured in the on-ramp with the filing routine around them.
Can a garage really get an MSE loan?
With documented jobs and filed returns, yes — that file is exactly what MSE facilities underwrite.
What about spare-parts VAT?
Purchases tracked against jobs; VAT position reviewed monthly where registration applies.
